Scott McCloud on Post-Print Comics

If you are like me, you have probably never put much thought into the theory of comics. Approaching them in the most casual way, I am easily satisfied with an Ashley Wood release. Beautifully rendered artwork and scattered story lines are enough to earn my twenty dollars. However, after stumbling into this speech from comic theorist, Scott McCloud, I’m amazed at the potential I’ve never noticed that comic books have.

Take a few minutes to check out this article and video. A concept based on the earliest forms of sequential art, Comic books in our post-print world have a whole new potential. This is truly amazing and inspiring stuff.
